I love your words, and simply, "you get it." So eloquent.

I love my wife very deeply. It sounds so funny to those who don't ride, but having her on my bike with me truly deepens my connection with her. Others wonder how that can possibly be, since we can't really talk. But since when have words been necessary for conversation? Her presence behind me says so much that mere words can't express.

She trusts me. She wants to be with me, share my journeys. Isn't that love in action?

Thank you for touching me today.

DaveDave77459https://www.blogger.com/profile/13850570873417546361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-36147345139690648932010-05-05T07:44:31.537-04:002010-05-05T07:44:31.537-04:00Larry, nice to meet you and thanks for your input!...Larry, nice to meet you and thanks for your input! Thanks for the comment! I'm glad ...Hi Stuart. Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you suggested starting with longest out first. That is my next goal to move our planning meetings to working that way. It would seem like the easiest thing to knock out in the meeting would be the Big Idea for 5 weeks out and keep planning from 5 to the upcoming week. This is actually what keeps us from staying on the plan because if the meeting runs long it is weeks 4 and 5 that get skipped. Good thinking, thanks for posting!Deana Kistnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04164206148539548417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-10482576115405306492010-05-05T07:40:12.549-04:002010-05-05T07:40:12.549-04:00crispone, thanks for your feedback. Please note, ...crispone, thanks for your feedback. Please note, we did not start out that way. It actually took 5 years for us to *very* slowly get to this place. I do, strongly, feel that the best way to approach our planning is with as much advance planning as possible so I stuck with it and, over time found myself surrounded by more and more team members who embraced the idea. Now we all (sometimes they push me) push to stay on track. It truly has become a part of the culture not just a mandate on my part. Keep working toward it and cast vision for every single time it has worked in your favor.Deana Kistnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04164206148539548417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-26032085477295754312010-05-05T05:31:57.824-04:002010-05-05T05:31:57.824-04:00Good list post. I've been to a hand full of local choral performances. I have now been to my very first Opera. Not only does this music ring with UNITY in the voices it's a great way to get a whole community of people involved, and it really reminds me of the joy of unifying with others with a common goal to produce a sound that is absolutely breath taking. We don't always think about music as a team sport, but the choirs I've performed with take on the same mentality of the basketball team I played with...and it's really hard work with beautiful rewards at the end!sherrigileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07510069712757808385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-63687232756871747962010-01-19T09:55:43.962-05:002010-01-19T09:55:43.962-05:00Awesome post, Deana! Having become a parent in my late 30's, I wish I could take some of the lessons from parenting and apply them to my early career. It's always been hard for me to say, "I don't know." or "I'll find out and get back to you." or even, "I wish I had done that differently." With Sara, I'm learning every day to acknowledge my imperfections. I'm still the parent but I won't always be right and I don't have all the answers. Right now, Sara's very content sleeping in my bed. She's been doing it off and on for 18 months. I wanted to make sure she felt secure and safe as much as possible. Experienced parents warned me to find a balance between security and independence and told me that if she started sleeping in my bed, it would be hard to get her to leave. Yep, they were right. I probably should have looked for another solution. Not the first parenting mistake I made and I doubt it will be the last!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06926397620809724703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-9813640640915614542008-12-17T08:54:00.000-05:002008-12-17T08:54:00.000-05:00I am always in dabger zone!I am always in dabger zone!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13670215.post-89026995512369145262008-12-01T18:25:00.000-05:002008-12-01T18:25:00.000-05:00You are welcome Deana.
