Well, I'm home after a week at the Willow Creek Arts Conference in Chicago. As soon as I woke up this morning I knew I missed the nice weather there!
The conference itself was a great oasis in the middle of a year of Big Pushes, capital campaigns, seasonal programs. It was wonderful to be in a room with thousands of other people who know the complexities and chaos of running an arts ministry in the local church. It was great to be poured into for four days - leadership training, spiritual and emotional encouragement and creative ideas.
I'm still processing what has impacted me the most from this year's conference... and probably will be for several days, if not weeks. I'm sure some of that processing will happen here.
But for now, just let me say that the Willow Arts Conference was just what I needed to fuel up for a few more months of programming. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make it happen this year - from the friendly greeters, to the breakout session leaders, to the production crew, drama cast, bands and vocalists, great speakers that came from all over and to Lincoln Brewster and Nicole Nordeman. Each of your contributions made a significant difference in my life and ministry.
